  • Eastport CNI DEvelopment Team Has Been Selected

    The City of Annapolis and the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) have selected a development team led by Monadnock Development, Genesis Companies, NFP Affordable Housing Corp., Wiencek + Associates, and Hamel Builders to guide the redevelopment of Harbour House, Eastport Terrace, and the Spa Road site through the federal Choice Neighborhoods Initiative.

    This plan is the result of scores of community meetings with Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, along with neighbors across Eastport, who helped shape the vision for a mixed-use, mixed-income community. The redevelopment will grow housing from 357 to nearly 1,000 units, add retail, healthcare, and recreational amenities, and will be built in phases to ensure no displacement of current residents.

The City of Annapolis and the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) want to thank the residents of Harbour House and Eastport Terrace, along with neighbors and community partners across Eastport, for their time, ideas, and commitment throughout the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative (CNI) planning process.

Over the past two years, we’ve held dozens of meetings and design sessions where residents helped shape the vision for the future of their community. The redevelopment of Harbour House and Eastport Terrace under the Choice Neighborhoods program will bring a mixed-use, mixed income development that includes space for shops, healthcare, recreation, and other community amenities.

Most importantly, the redevelopment will be built in phases to ensure no resident is displaced. This project reflects the priorities of the people who call Eastport home and will create a stronger, more connected future for all of Annapolis.
